Unboxing April 2016 Miss Tutii Bag!

I have been with Miss Tutii since they started their subscription service back in January and this is my 4th bag with them.  The first and third bag were meh, the second one was fantastic!   However, as I am able to “swap” up to 3 items a year with stuff from their online store, I was able to swap out last month’s It’s Skin cleanser for 3 facial masks, so this is a nice perk with Miss Tutii.  I wish they would have it more than just 3 times per year, however.   What is Miss Tutii?

Delivering you beauty products from around the world each month! We search high and low for the most popular items trending in countries like Korea , Japan , Taiwan and much more! So you’ll be able to discover great quality products at a fraction of the price!

They have 3 subscription services:

  1. TUTIIBOX is a Asian beauty subscription service. Every month, we deliver 5 – 6 Full Size or Premium Deluxe Sample beauty products straight to your doorstep.  Monthly package ($25USD/Month), a 6-month package $24USD/Month ($144), and a 12 month package $23USD/Month($276)
  2. TUTIIBAG is a “smaller” version of our TutiiBox, you will get 4-5 Full Size and Deluxe Sample beauty products each month.  Monthly package ($15/month), a 6-month package $14.50($87), and a 12 month package $14($168)
  3. TUTIIMASK is for the mask lovers out there, who loves to try out a variety of masks for a fraction of the price.  There are three different types of subscriptions: a monthly package ($12/month), a 6-month package $11.50($69), and a 12 month package $11($132)

All regular subscriptions are recurring, unless cancelled within the term deadline.  All our products include English Instructions on how to use the items.

I signed up for the Miss Tutii Bag, as I really have so much product, I do not want a ton of full sized items.

Bag Revealed!

 Informational Card

Shiseido Super Moist Medicated Hand Cream   (Japan) This is our high end brand for the bag, and oh well, a hand cream!  I have so many hand creams.  I was worried about the term medicated, cause that might mean it smells medicial, but it actually is a scentless hand cream. Its formula is very light weight and when I apply it to my hands, it has a burst of watery moisture and then quickly absorbs into my skin. I don’t find this to be that hydrating despite the claims that it is.  The Medicated Hand Cream is in a red tube ~ I received the Super Moist Medicated hand cream, which is in a white tube.  40 grams RV $7.00

Description: A convenient hand cream enriched with glycerin  keeps hands soft, smooth and supple. Lightweight and with a delicate texture, the hand cream is quickly absorbed by skin leaving hands silky smooth without an uncomfortable greasy feeling. Keep tube in bag and massage on hands as often as needed. Contains xylitol (moisturizing effect)  and  dipotassium glycyrrhizin acid (skin roughness prevention)

Active Ingredients (source): dipotassium glycyrrhizinate  Other ingredients: purified water, decamethylcyclopentasiloxane, shea propylene glycol, concentrated glycerin, ethanol, xylitol, cetyl octanoate, corn starch, monostearate polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, Mechiruporioki siloxane, carboxyvinyl polymer, potassium hydroxide, acrylic acid, alkyl methacrylate copolymer, sodium metaphosphate, parahydroxybenzoate ester

Laneige Clear C Advanced Effector   OHHH, now this is probably the best thing in the bag and of course, tiny sample size.  I have a love-hate relationship with Laneige ~ I love some of their products, like the Yogurt Berry Peeling Gel and I hate others, due to the heavy floral scent.   This is a vitamin booster toner than contains 92.5%  superberry extract that will help brighten your skin tone and contains acerola and acai berries, which are 4 times more potent than Vitamin C with its antioxidant effects.  According to Laneige, ” Vitamin C and antioxidants are ultimately unstable compounds, the Clear C Advanced Effector utilizes patented Silicum Capture Technology to stabilize the active ingredients. These silica particles absorb minerals and hydrogen negative ions to better preserve the antioxidant function of the extracts.”  It is pretty much scentless to my nose ~ maybe a bit citrusy, and I am pretty happy about this product ~ in fact, I am going to purchase the full size online at Target, as they carry Laneige.   I love a good booster product and this one seems like a winner for oily to normal skin types, with its acerola, açaí, niacinamide, moringa, neem, watercress and lotus flower extracts.  Sample Size 15 mL RV $3.90

In case you didn’t know, eBates will give you cash back at hundreds of online stores, including Target.  I have been using eBates for a few years now and I have gotten back over $800.00 with my spending habits!!  If you are interested in joining eBates, I would love it if you used my referral link (click here)

Ingredients:  malpighia emarcginate (acerola) fruit extract, euterpe oleracea (açaí) fruit extract, propanediol, alcohol, niacinamide, butylene glycol, moringa pterygosperma (Moringa)  seed extract, melia azadirachta (neem)  extract, prunus mume (Japanese apricot) fruit extract,  nasturtium officinale (watercress) extract, nelumbo nucifera flower extract, glutathione, glycerin, lecithin, bis-PEG-18 methyl ether dimethyl silane, sodium magnesium silicate, adenosine, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, water,  disodium EDTA, fragrance cosDNA.com analysis

Skinfood Black Bean Eye Brow Pencil  (Korea)  I know, the information card stated it was an eyeliner, but it isn’t.  It is an eye brown pencil, which is totally different and the formula is not the same.  It is much harder and has more wax than an eyeliner.    This eyebrow pencil has a spoolie on the other end to help “brush” the pencil strokes to look more natural.  There is only about an inch of the product in this pencil, so the pencil is deceptively long in comparison to the actual product inside.  Retail Value $10.00

Skinfood Fresh Celery Cleansing Tissue  (Korea) I do use cleansing tissues as they are a quick way to remove dirt and makeup while I am in a hurry.  This contains moisturizing ingredients, such as

  • Aloe Vera is a powerful moisturizer that doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or greasy. It soothes, treats inflammation, helps speed up skin healing and also has a plethora of antioxidants ~ beta-carotene, Vitamin C and Vitamin E, which help improve your skin’s firmness and keeps your skin moist and hydrated. It also contains over 75 different nutritious ingredients, including minerals, enzymes, amino acids, salicylic acid and much more.
  • Panthenol helps cellular renewal and is an effective moisturizer.  It is derived from plants and this ingredient comes from Vitamin B5.  Panthenol is a natural humectant, which retains moisture and hydrates the skin. It also is a good lubricant on the skin, making skin look soft and smooth. It is also an anti-inflammatory
  • Celery Root is full of vitamins A, C and E, which are antioxidants and can help delay aging signs, while reversing free radical damage.  It also contains minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, potassium and omega 6 fatty acids for elasticity. is an important source of vitamins A, C and E which act as potent antioxidants by reversing and protecting against free radical damage.

These do contain alcohol, but they also contain glycerin, so drying out your skin and then moisturizing it!! haha Seriously, if you are looking for a nice cleansing tissue, Skinfood does make a brown rice oil version without alcohol denat.  Check it out here at Memebox.   15 sheets RV $4.00

Description: A cleansing tissue featuring celery extract that removes make-up residue and impurities to provide fresh, clean and refreshed skin without a sticky after feel.

Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Polysorbate 20, Panthenol, Apium Graveolens (Celery) Root Seed Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Fragrance cosDNA.com analysis

I do think horror movie makeup artists use these

Inner Kallia Special Care Modeling Pack in Green Tea  (Korea)  These modeling packs/masks are fun and I enjoy using them. They are messy and inconvenient, but I do like the results from using them ~ I just rarely have the time to do them. Modeling packs seem to really lift out the dirt and gunk from my face and leaves my skin smooth, cool and hydrated. And you can talk really funny selfies with them ~ when you apply this, cover your mouth too 😉  Inner Kallia uses only natural botanical materials in their masks, along with other goodies.  To use, get a small bowl and dump the contents of this package into the bowl.  Then add water slowly, mixing it all the time until you get a smooth paste that is not runny, but not too thick either.  Spread all over your face and neck ~ leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and then peel off.  Remove excess residue with water/toner.   The Green Tea version is for blemish prone, rough, dull skin and will moisturize and bring elasticity back to your skin.   40 grams RV $5.00

  • Diatomaceous Earth is a fine powder made from a type of fossilized phytoplankton, called diatoms.  It is used as a exfoliator as it is very gentle and it contains a bunch of happy-face minerals such as silica, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, calcium and zinc.   It also helps draw out impurities from your skin, including excess oils.
  • Camellia Sinensis (green tea) is full of powerful anti-oxidants, due to its high concentration of polyphenols and  green tea helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Rosmarinus Officinalis (rosemary) has anti-septic properties, supports collagen growths and has anti-oxidant properties that will combat free radicals

Ingredients: diatomaceous earth, glucose, zea mays (corn) starch, algin, calcium sulfate, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, magnesium oxide, camellia sinensis leaf powder (.5%) , camellia sinensis leaf extract, algae extract, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) extract  cosDNA.com analysis

So…. is fourth time the charm?  Hmm.  I am torn ~ on one hand, I can appreciate the struggle of trying to put in a high end brand, but it is just a hand cream and not that moisturizing at all.  The Laneige toner and Skinfood wipes are fantastic and I am really excited about the Laneige item.  The modeling mask is fine ~ I will use it but they are just so messy to use.  I do love my swapped items, and that is because I picked them out!   The mistake with the eyebrow pencil is really lame ~ they went to all of that trouble to get the card ready and printed and no one could tell that was an eyebrow pencil?   Whoever curated their February bag needs to be put back on the payroll, because that bag was fantastic.   This bag is an improvement over last month’s bag, however, so I am pleased with it if not jumping with joy.  I paid $15.00 for this bag and received over $29.90

Have you signed up for Miss Tutii?  Did you get the bag, box or masks?  What do you think of them?

  1. I have just recently discovered that Laneige “effector” (I guess it’s a first essence,) and while I haven’t had much luck with Laneige products, either, this just sounds really exciting. Will wait to hear what you think of it. 🙂

    1. It is fun to use and it does help remove a lot of dirt and oil. My face does feel hydrated without any sticky residue. It is a lot in the bowl ~~ what you see in the photo is me using the full package and I did have a little bit left over (not a lot) ~ so I put it on my neck too. You are supposed to goop it on, not a thin layer ~ that helps with hydrating too.
