Beauteque is an Asian online store, located in the USA and sells Korean and Taiwanese beauty products, as well as offering a monthly beauty bag and monthly mask bag.

Beauteque offers Head To Toe bags, which are special edition spa bags with a theme.   This month they released a SkinFood Head to Toe bag, featuring one of my favorite K-Beauty brands, Skinfood ~ Part of their appeal with me is their packaging!   The last “only brand” Head to Toe bag was Tonymoly and that was a disaster.  I decided to purchase the Skinfood one as (a) how bad could they make the selections and (b) did Beauteque learn their lesson from that disastrous Tonymoly bag?

Skinfood Glacier Water Gel Mask (Toning/Soothing) ~ I have purchased and used the water series masks from Skinfood for a while now and even wrote up some reviews on them.  I will repeat my original review here.  I am not in love with the gel masks and do prefer the cotton sheet versions of the Water Series.  The Glacier Water is for oily skin and sensitive skin.  Retail Value $3.00

Glacier Water:  A cooling, refreshing mask for oily and sensitive skin types.  It will hydrate your skin without feeling sticky or greasy.

Glacier water story: Pure glacier water is naturally alkali and enriched with oxygen, potassium, calcium, magnesium and other beneficial minerals.  A glacier water-infused cooling hydrogel mask keeps moisture into skin as it gradually melts over time.

This actually had weaves in the material of the gel and was not that heavy with essence, in my opinion.   I was able to put the 2-piece mask on without issues and it fit nicely on my face ~ I have to say, Skinfood does make masks that actually fit my face with its high cheekbones and wide nose!   However, it does leave the outer sides of my face a bit exposed, which isn’t an issue with this mask, as I am not oily in that region.    This mask had no scent at all.  The usage states to keep the mask on your face for 20-30 minutes, which I did leave on for 30 minutes.  This is a very  refreshing, cooling without being watery or sticky, no greasy feeling, which is due to the sodium hyaluronate ~ an effective emollient.    This mask didn’t have as much essence compared to the Thermal mask, probably because it is a hydrogel mask and not a cotton one; also it is marketed as “lightweight moisture”.    My skin was moisturized without being shiny ~ almost matte.  I am quite pleased with this mask and think it is best suited for when my face feels really oily or in the summertime, as it is a very cooling mask.  I do not recommend this mask for those with dry skin, as I think it would not be that moisturizing for that skin type.

Skinfood Deep Sea Mask (Brightening) ~  Yes, this is more like it!  Even though the info card states this is a gel mask, this one is the cotton version (or at least, that is what I received).  Again, I wrote a review on this mask too and I will repeat it here.  I’ve hyperlinked both the gel and cotton reviews, as I did review all 3 types of masks in this series, 2 from the hydro-gel and 3 from the cotton water series.    Retail Value $3.00

Deep Sea Water:  A brightening mask for all skin types who want to brighten and even out their skin tone.  It is not for just dry skin tones.

Deep Sea water story: Pure deep sea water is naturally cool and enriched with a myriad of minerals.

This is a brightening mask and I am a bit obsessed with brightening products right now.  It is suitable for all skin types who wish to even and brighten their skin tone.   The fit and texture of this mask is the same as the other water series and I love how it all fits nicely on my big peasant face 😉   Since my sun damaged areas are around the outer regions of my face, it is important that this fit completely and fully around my face.   There is no scent to this mask and it is a cooling and refreshing mask as well.  When I remove the mask, my face is moist, but not sticky at all.  I just pat in the essence that is remaining and it is absorbed nicely.  This is probably my favorite of the Water Series at this time. My face seems to be brighter and vibrant after I remove it, but I think that is just temporary ~ however, I do hope that over time, this mask will help brighten my skin tone.

Skinfood My Short Cake Setting Mascara ~   A mascara.  Oh well.  Of all of the Skinfood makeup items, a boring black mascara.   Skinfood has some lovely powder blushes, such as their Sugar Cookie and Muffin Cake blushes, that would have been fantastic in this bag.   This is also not worth $11.00, but that is the retail price that Beauteque has put on this product.  This is a lengthening, curling and smudge proof mascara.  Full Size 7 g Retail Value $11.00

Skinfood Watermelon Embossing Cleansing Tissue ~   I am happy to get cleansing wipes, as I do use them all the time.   These have a nice light watermelon scent, as they do contain real watermelon extract (230 mg)  and they are textured (embossed).  These do contain alcohol, but it is summer and these are cleansing wipes, so it doesn’t bother me that much.   My face does feel soft and refreshed, and this doesn’t replace my normal cleansing routine.  It is just when I get home at night, I like to quickly remove my makeup and wipes do the trick. I wait until later to use my cleanser to wash my face and do my nightly skin care routine.  Full Size 30 wipes Value $21.00 <=== NO.  It is not $21.00.  Even the highest price on these products is about $11.00, and the lowest is around $4.00.

Skinfood Grape Seed Oil Wrinkle Cream  ~  This is described as a lightweight cream, but I found this neck cream to be dense and oily.   That said, it is for my neck and it does absorb fairly quickly.  It is a smooth cream that looks to be a light pale lavender in the tub, but once it is on my skin, it is just a white cream.   It has a sweet grape scent (think candy) but it is not overpowering ~ it is quite faint.   Skinfood’s Grape Seed Oil Wrinkle Neck Cream won’t cause wrinkles (haha) but will help firm your neck area, while moisturizing it.  This contains 200 mg of grape seed oil, which has a lot of great properties.  Grape seed oil has polyphenols and flavonoids which are antioxidant compounds, and one of its flavonoids, oligomeric procyanidin, is 50 times more potent than vitamin C and E, which means it is better protecting your skin from cellular and tissue damage and combating free radicals.  Grape seed oil has astringent properties, which means it can help tighten, tone and firm up your skin.

Grape seed oil has a high concentration of essential fatty acids, such as palmitic and stearic acids, which help with reducing wrinkles.   It is also rich in linoleic acid, another essential fatty acid, which can help heal wounds, while soothing and nourishing your skin.   Grape seed oil is full of vitamins and minerals, such as  beta-carotene and vitamins C, D and E, is very moisturizing and can help reduce hyper-pigmentation as well.  This neck cream also contains adenosine, which helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help with not creating new ones.    All in all, I am pretty happy to get this neck cream ~ I normally just use a really thick moisturizer that I wouldn’t use on my face.    To use, just apply to your neck, starting at the base and smooth the cream into your skin, using upward motions.   Full Size 50 mL Retail Value $10.00

Skinfood Nail Vita Pineapple Cuticle Cleaner ~  This is actually a pretty cool product.  I thought it was a cuticle oil at first, but it is a cuticle CLEANER. This is a thick gel liquid that is dispensed via an eyedropper applicator and this liquid is put onto your nails around the cuticle bed and you wait 15 seconds before starting to work on your cuticles.   The idea is that this cleaner, which includes pineapple extracts (but doesn’t smell like pineapple) that will help dissolve dirt, oil and dead skin cells.  There is aloe vera extracts in here to help soften your cuticles, so they are easy to push back and clip.  It would have been nice if Beauteque had added either Skinfood Pine Nut & Shea Butter Nail Mask or Pine Nut Cuticle Oil, just to complete your nail spa treatment.  Full Size 20 mL Value $8.00

How do I feel about this Head to Toe bag?  This isn’t the best value for a Head To Toe bag that I have purchased with Beauteque.  It is funny that the three items I really like the most were the spoilers for this bag!   I am pretty happy with all of the products and will use them, except the mascara, but I am disappointed that Beauteque over-inflated the prices on a few of these products.  A couple of dollars more is one thing, but the cleansing tissues were obscenely over priced.   I feel because the products were over inflated, that another product should have been included,  such as the famous Black Sugar Oil Cleanser or add another nail product to pamper your nails after you removed the cuticles.  When I compare this to my last Head to Toe bag I purchased, the Aloe Vera bag (which I didn’t review here, as I was swamped with reviews when that bag came in and now I regret not reviewing it), this is a bit of letdown.   I paid $25.00 + $4.95 shipping for a total of $29.95, and received a BeautequeValue of $56.00.  This is really one of the lower valued Head To Toe bags I have received from them.

This was the Head to Toe Aloe Vera bag and you can see it has a nice variety of larger sized items ~ Nature Republic Aloe Vera Body Cream, Nature Republic Aloe Vera Emulsion, It’s Skin Aloe Vera Soothing Gel, Welcos Soothing Aloe Vera Gel Mist, Tosowoong Pure Aloe Sheet Mask, 3W Clinic Fresh Aloe Vera Sheet Mask and a little facial scrubber .  The Head to Toe Aloe bag is still on sale at Beauteque, by the way, for $29.00 + shipping, which is based on what country you live in.
