Unboxing Beauty

I received a grand package from A-True 에이트루 the other day, full of samples from most of their different product lines.

For the last 2 days, I have been using the following products and I am going to give you my impressions on them

Sweet Song Black Tea Miracle Cleansing Foam ~ 2x  ~ Black Tea Water 39% (Compagnie Coloniale) 

Product Description: The cleansing foam provides a rich lather to gently dissolve dirt, makeup residue and any other everyday impurities.  The Black Tea, ‘Sweet Song,’ is harmoniously blended with Verbena leaf, referred to as the ‘mysterious herb,’ and Orange petals, which symbolize ‘purity.’

Directions for Use:  Apply right amount of the product to wet your hands and work into lather.  Gently massage it onto your skin and thoroughly rinse it with lukewarm water.

This cleansing foam is very creamy and rich, yet foams up beautifully.  The small 2ml foil was more than enough for me to cleanse my face and neck.  After rinsing this foam off, my face felt very clean, but not at all stripped and tight.   Sweet Song has no scent that I can tell and this will be one of the products that I will like to purchase from A-True.  I felt this product really cleansed my face without drying it out.  I used it for 2 days and I did not have any negative reactions to it.

The next 3 products are from the White Snow Brilliant line, which is their whitening line.   I only had the foils, so I did not have enough to state whether this minimized any discoloration.

White Snow Tea Brilliant Toner ~ 2x  ~ Black Tea Water 83% (Compagnie Coloniale)

Product Description:White Tea improves the skin’s overall radiance and tone by minimizing the appearance of discolorations. In addition, Willow bark helps neutralize surface impurities and dead skin cells to promote the skin’s turnover.

Directions for Use: After cleansing, sprinkle a teaspoon of the toner onto cotton and gently sweep over the skin with it.

The toner’s consistency is very much like other Korean toners – it is very watery and I just poured it in my hands and then I just patted the toner into my face.  This did have a very slight stinging sensation, but as I have used whitener products before, I was anticipating this.   Every whitening product I have used has a slight stinging sensation, some more than others.  This was over in a second or two with this product, so it was not a major issue for me.

White Snow Tea Brilliant Essence ~ 2x  ~ Black Tea Water 83% (Compagnie Coloniale) 

Product Description: The whitening and moisturizing properties of the brilliant essence help the skin to be resilient and glow with both a pure and natural radiance. The brilliant essence has been formulated using Oriental Beauty Fruits Newplex (Korean Patent).  White Tea was once only exclusively reserved for Emperors of China. The extract of White Tea protects the skin from dark spots helping maintain a crystal clear and clean skin tone.

Directions for Use:  Thoroughly apply on your face and neck. Gently massage the product until it becomes completely absorbed in the skin.

This essence is very creamy and reminds me of what Westerners think of for serums.   It absorbed quickly into my skin.  As with the toner, there was a slight stinging sensation, but again, it was over within a second or two.

White Snow Tea Brilliant Aurora Cream ~ 2x  ~ Black Tea Water 71% (Compagnie Coloniale) 

Product Description: White Tea was once only exclusively reserved for Emperors of China. The extract of White Tea protects the skin from dark spots helping maintain a crystal clear and clean skin tone.

Directions for Use: Take right amount with a spatula, thoroughly apply on your face and neck. Gently massage the product until it becomes completely absorbed in the skin

This cream has a wonderful medium texture, a bit more thicker than the essence, but it didn’t leave my face feeling greasy or oily.  It absorbed quickly and my face felt moisturized and hydrated.   Again, the slight stinging sensation was felt, but again, it was only for a second.

I used these products for 2 days and did not experience any negative reactions to them ~ I did not break out in acne, which is common for me if I am using a product that is the wrong type for my skin.   White Snow Tea Brilliant line did not have any noticeable fragrance, which I really do prefer in my skin care products.    If I choose to purchase a whitening product line, A-True’s White Snow Tea Brilliant line will be the first one I will purchase.  I have tried others in the past and they were very heavy creams and they were too much for my skin type.   White Snow Tea Brilliant is a great fit for my skin type.
